Handcrafted wooden Fountain pens and Rollerball pens

Making handcrafted wooden pens is a fun little branch of wood turning. Most of the pens I make are regular ball point pens that typically use either a cross or parker style refill. For many people a handmade wooden pen in one of those styles is as fancy as they want to go and already pricey.

There are those though who want a higher level of quality and in those cases they are often looking for a rollerball or fountain pen. I usually keep a few around to appeal to those people but not many due to the expense of the hardware for those pens. This past Christmas season though convinced me that it was a good idea to have at least a bit more selection available so I decided to make a few more.

This first one is a Sedona rollerball pen with black titanium plating made from olive wood.

Next is a Baron rollerball pen with sterling silver plating made from bubinga wood.

The next two are both fountain pens. Hardware for the fountain pens always comes with medium tip. I haven’t ordered them but there are also fine and broad tips available.

The first is a Baron fountain pen with black titanium plating made from bocote wood.

Next is a Baron fountain pen with sterling silver plating made from amboyna burl wood.
