Well, in spite of feeling like I am not getting enough shop time lately I must be finding some because the new items keep accumulating.
I noticed that my pen stock was looking a bit picked over lately with the number of empty spots in my pen case so I did a small run of pens to flush things out a bit. I sometimes find that it takes a bit for me to get into the groove a making pens if I haven’t done it for a few months but these came out pretty well.
I have made pendants in the past and was recently asked if I had any available. I didn’t but decided to make a few up since I had been asked.
I also finished up a couple of travel mugs. One of them is made from maple and is quite nice but the birch wood one is the showpiece. It came from the crotch part of the tree and the figure of the grain is really impressive.
I have also finished a few bowls lately but I am still finishing some and I have not gotten around to taking any pictures so that may be the subject of a future post.
