September update

Well, after a month or so of working on this when I have time it is starting to look like a website.  I have been busy so I have not been trying anything to ambitious in the workshop. Mostly just working on small items that I have made before or completing projects that were begun earlier. They do seem to have added up though as you can see by the pictures.

I made a few ice cream scoops and pizza cutter sets with different kinds of wood, a handful of pens, finished off a couple of travel mugs that I had started a while ago and made a nice little bowl from some maple burl wood that I purchased recently.

I just started finishing some roughed out bowls that are now either already dry or will be soon. The first of these are maple but there are also some cherry ones that will be ready soon. I have two maple bowls that I have started finishing but still need a few more coats of oil before they are done. One of them is almost 12 inches in diameter and will be quite nice. the other is a bit smaller and while it has a nice shape there are number of flaws in the wood. I’m not quite sure what to do with it yet because I don’t think it good enough to sell but it is too nice to just trash and I don’t think I want to keep it. I’m thinking it will have to be a give away.
